"Tùi góa ka-tī, góa mā m̄-chai tio̍h kúi-kang," hông kòng thiám-thiám ê khî-sū Don Quixote kóng, "m̄-koh góa tio̍h koài ka-tī, góa bô eng-kai gia̍h kiàm kong hiah-ê lâng, in m̄-sī chhiūⁿ góa án-ne ū khî-sū miâ-hō. 15.2 戰神處罰我違反騎士道
Sancho 上代先醒過來, 發現倚 tī 身邊 ê 主人, tō 輕輕哀聲叫伊:
"Don Quixote Ss, ah, Don Quixote!"
"你欲創啥 ah, Sancho 兄弟?" Don Quixote kō͘ kap Sancho 仝款虛弱痛苦 ê 聲音 kā 應.
"若 ē-tàng, 我欲," Sancho Panza 回答, "閣下 hō͘ 我啉寡 Blas 藥水, 如果你手內有 he. 凡勢 he tùi 骨折 kap 空喙 lóng 有效."
"誠害 ah, 如果我今有 he, 咱猶驚啥?" Don Quixote 講, "m̄-koh, Sancho Panza, 我 kō͘ 遊俠騎士 ê 名義咒誓, 除非命運另外安排, koh 免兩工, 我 tō ē-tàng 得著 he, 若無, 我 tō 是瘸手."
"在你看, 咱 tio̍h 過幾工才 ē-tàng koh 用跤行路?" Sancho Panza 回答.
"對我 ka-tī, 我 mā 毋知 tio̍h 幾工," hông 摃忝忝 ê 騎士 Don Quixote 講, "m̄-koh 我 tio̍h 怪 ka-tī, 我無應該攑劍攻 hiah-ê 人, in 毋是像我 án-ne 有騎士名號. 我相信, 為著處罰我違反騎士道, 戰神才允准我受這種懲罰. 所致, Sancho 兄弟, 我今欲 kā 你講 ê 代誌, 你 tio̍h 聽好, 因為 che tùi 咱 lóng 真要緊. 你若 koh 看著這種賤民 tùi 咱亂來, 莫等我拔劍向 in, 因為我袂 án-ne 做. 你 tio̍h 拔劍照你 ê 意思去教訓 in, 若有任何騎士來幫贊, 保護 in, 我 ē 負責保護你, 盡全力攻擊 in. 你已經有濟濟擺 ê 觀察, 知影我 ê 武功是到啥程度 ah lah." -- 這个 bat 戰贏勇猛 Biscaya 人 ê 可憐紳士講 kah chhèng kōa-kōa.
M̄-koh, Sancho tùi 主人 ê 警告無完全贊成, tō án-ne kā 應:
"先生, 我是安份守己, 溫順恬靜 ê 人, 我 ē-tàng 忍受任何侮辱, 因為我有某囝 tio̍h 照顧. 所致, 我 tio̍h 講 hō͘ 閣下知, 我袂聽你 ê 命令, 毋管是面對丑仔 a̍h 騎士, 我袂攑劍攻擊 in. 自今開始, tī 神面前, 我原諒別人 tùi 我 ê 侮辱, 毋管是過去, 現在, a̍h 未來, 毋管是高等, 下賤, 好額 a̍h 散赤, 貴族 a̍h 平民, 無限階級, 無限條件."
對 chiah-ê 話, in 主人 án-ne kā 應:

Sancho was the first to come to, and finding himself close to his master he called to him in a weak and doleful voice, /
“Señor Don Quixote, ah, Señor Don Quixote!”
“What wouldst thou, brother Sancho?” answered Don Quixote in the same feeble suffering tone as Sancho.
“I would like, if it were possible,” answered Sancho Panza, “your worship to give me a couple of sups of that potion of the fiery Blas, if it be that you have any to hand there; perhaps it will serve for broken bones as well as for wounds.”
“If I only had it here, wretch that I am, what more should we want?” said Don Quixote; “but I swear to thee, Sancho Panza, on the faith of a knight-errant, ere two days are over, unless fortune orders otherwise, I mean to have it in my possession, or my hand will have lost its cunning.”
“But in how many does your worship think we shall have the use of our feet?” answered Sancho Panza.
“For myself I must say I cannot guess how many,” said the battered knight Don Quixote; “but I take all the blame upon myself, for I had no business to put hand to sword against men who where not dubbed knights like myself, and so I believe that in punishment for having transgressed the laws of chivalry the God of battles has permitted this chastisement to be administered to me; for which reason, brother Sancho, it is well thou shouldst receive a hint on the matter which I am now about to mention to thee, for it is of much importance to the welfare of both of us. It is that when thou shalt see rabble of this sort offering us insult thou art not to wait till I draw sword against them, for I shall not do so at all; but do thou draw sword and chastise them to thy heart’s content, and if any knights come to their aid and defence I will take care to defend thee and assail them with all my might; and thou hast already seen by a thousand signs and proofs what the might of this strong arm of mine is equal to”—so uplifted had the poor gentleman become through the victory over the stout Biscayan.
But Sancho did not so fully approve of his master’s admonition as to let it pass without saying in reply, “Señor, I am a man of peace, meek and quiet, and I can put up with any affront because I have a wife and children to support and bring up; so let it be likewise a hint to your worship, as it cannot be a mandate, that on no account will I draw sword either against clown or against knight, and that here before God I forgive the insults that have been offered me, whether they have been, are, or shall be offered me by high or low, rich or poor, noble or commoner, not excepting any rank or condition whatsoever.”
To all which his master said in reply, /
“I wish I had breath enough to speak somewhat easily, and that the pain I feel on this side would abate so as to let me explain to thee, Panza, the mistake thou makest. Come now, sinner, suppose the wind of fortune, hitherto so adverse, should turn in our favour, filling the sails of our desires so that safely and without impediment we put into port in some one of those islands I have promised thee, how would it be with thee if on winning it I made thee lord of it? Why, thou wilt make it well-nigh impossible through not being a knight nor having any desire to be one, nor possessing the courage nor the will to avenge insults or defend thy lordship; for thou must know that in newly conquered kingdoms and provinces the minds of the inhabitants are never so quiet nor so well disposed to the new lord that there is no fear of their making some move to change matters once more, and try, as they say, what chance may do for them; so it is essential that the new possessor should have good sense to enable him to govern, and valour to attack and defend himself, whatever may befall him.”
